Helping open new doors...
Planning the future today...
Our client is a 40 year old mother and when she was visiting a Taylor Wimpey showhome in Swindon with her husband and two young daughters a door fell off the wall towards her youngest daughter.
Our client moved forwards to protect her daughter and as she did so she wrenched her shoulder and also cut her hand. An initial opinion was taken by a local barrister which advised that she had no reasonable prospect of success as it was unclear why or how the door became detached. Liability was denied but we continued with the case and took a second opinion which was favourable and eventually the defendants conceded liability.
Settlement was agreed in the sum of £8,500 approximately one month before trial.
